Korean Facts

Korea has many dialects, though the standard language of South Korea is based on that spoken around Seoul, the capital; the standard for North Korea is the dialect spoken around P'yongyang

Similar to Japanese and Vietnamese in that it was heavily influenced by the Chinese language, around 60% of Korean words are derived from Chinese

Modern Korean is written with spaces between words, a feature not found in most other Asian languages (e.g. Chinese, Japanese)

Plymouth

A city in the southwest of England, Plymouth is home to around 250,000 inhabitants, and is situated at the head of one of the world's largest and most impressive natural harbours, the Plymouth Sound. The city has a great maritime history, its role as a naval dockyard making it a primary target for bombing during the Second World War; yet its naval traditions live on. Yet the city has more than boats to offer: its nightlife mainly consists of Union Street, which is lined with a huge number of bars, clubs and casinos; maintaining its reputation as the ideal place to have a wild night out.
