Shoes and More Shoes<\/strong><\/p>\n

I seem to have a problem with footwear. When I had my classes to learn Spanish<\/a> I didn\u2019t find out that the numbers here are different from in the UK but it doesn\u2019t really sound like a big deal, does it? The problem is that I just can\u2019t remember my size here. Is it 40 or 42 or 41 maybe? This means I need to try on loads of different pairs and still end up with ones which hurt my feet. I bought some sort of slip on affairs in Rio which I only used once before binning and have gone through several pairs of trainers and too many sandals to mention. Maybe my feet are too British for South American footwear. <\/p>\n

Pretty in Pink<\/strong><\/p>\n

After I had been in Ecuador to learn Spanish<\/a> and save some trees I went to Peru and realised that I had run out of socks. I am a bit colour blind and, well, to cut a long story short I didn\u2019t realise that they were pink. The saleswoman looked at me kind of funny and said something like, \u201cblah, blah, rosadas, blah\u201d. I hadn\u2019t learned the names of all of the colours by then and I just handed over my cash. Fortunately someone in the hostel pointed out my slight error and bought them off me. Since then I have tried to stick to sandals and no socks, to give me one less clothing problem to think about.<\/p>\n
