Group Language Courses
We offer both individual and group language courses.
A group can consist of as few as 2 people up to a maximum of 12 people per class.
We do not rule out teaching groups of up to 16 for organisations with limited budgets, but we do not recommend this in most situations as in a typical two-hour session each participant cannot hope to gain the personal attention they need to advance quickly and confidently.
Unlike individual courses, which can be lot more flexible in terms of arranging the date and time of the course (as these can be agreed easily between the student and trainer at the end of the preceding session); group courses will generally be scheduled for a fixed day and time each week in order to avoid difficulties, as the trainer and the entire group must be able to find a convenient time to meet.
In group classes, there are two other important issues to consider:
All participants should be at approximately the same level. This is less of an issue for complete beginners, but otherwise some people will find the pace of the classes too slow, whilst others will find it hard to keep up. For this very reason we have a simple Online Level Test for the major languages, so that we can test an organization’s employees quickly and efficiently.
Where the levels of proficiency vary, we recommend splitting the group into two or more smaller groups, in order that every participant involved makes the most effective use of his or her time.

Also, all participants must have approximately the same language needs and aims,so that the material covered will be suitable for everyone.This isnot usually an issue, and is something that will be covered by our trainers in the introductory session, during which students can explain what topics they wish to cover. The learning plan for the rest of the course is decided by a group consensus.

Please note that we charge slightly more for group courses, as we need to arrange course materials for each participant, and there is more administrative work necessary.
