Spanish Facts
Spanish compares very well with Italian: both languages have a similar sound and do not differ very much in terms of grammar, vocabulary and morphology
Up until 1987, Spanish was the official language of the Philippines
Spanish is one of relatively few phonetic languages: in the official dialect, Spanish sounds exactly as it looks when you read it off the page

Bedford
As the county town of Bedfordshire, Bedford was a market town for the surrounding farmland during the early Middle Ages, and was also the home and prison of John Bunyan, author of The Pilgrim's Progress. Nowadays the town is home to over 80,000 people, and has the largest concentration of Italian immigrants in the UK. The town centre is split in two by the river Great Ouse, and the banks are adorned with botanical gardens known as The Embankment, which plays host to the annual River Festival - the second largest regular outdoor event in the UK.
