Antonio Banderas es uno de los actores españoles mas conocidos en el ámbito internacional. Nació en Benalmádena (Málaga) el 10 de agosto de 1960. Cuando tenía diecinueve años se traslada a Madrid para comenzar su carrera de actor.
Aunque empieza haciendo pequeños papeles, en poco tiempo Pedro Almodóvar le ofrece trabajar en la película "Laberinto de pasiones", la primera oportunidad que tiene para darse a conocer. A partir de ese momento se convierte en un actor habitual en las películas de este director. 'La ley del deseo', 'Átame', 'Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, son algunos ejemplos.
En 1991 viaja a Los Ángeles para preparar el rodaje de Los reyes del mambo', donde se traslada a vivir desde ése momento.
Participa en 'Philadelphia' interpretando el papel de amante homosexual de Tom Hanks.
En 'La casa de los espíritus', película basada en una novela de Isabel Allende, trabaja junto a Jeremy Irons y Winona Ryder.
En 1995 protagoniza 'Two Much' del director Fernándo Trueba, comedia donde interpreta el doble papel de enamorado, y será donde, casualmente en el rodaje, conoce a la que será su esposa en la vida real, la también famosa actriz Melanie Griffith.
En 1998 vuelve a ser protagonista en 'La máscara del zorro', junto a Anthony Hopkins.
En 1999 realiza su primer trabajo como director en 'Locos en Alabama'.
Y en el año 2000, es precisamente Antonio Banderas junto a Penélope Cruz, el encargado de entregar el Oscar a la mejor película de habla no inglesa "Todo sobre mi madre", de Pedro Almodóvar.
En la actualidad, el actor sigue triunfando en las pantallas de cine de todo el mundo.

Even on our most basic course for Beginners, students should expect to end the course with basic Telephone Spanish and e-mail Spanish skills for communications as well as Survival Spanish required for short visits to a country.

Even though all novice students will cover survival Spanish: enough Spanish to make a visit to the country or make good contacts with the locals, but what do you do from there? It depends on your needs. Those who have benefitted from these courses have been those moving or investing overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people who love to travel all over the world, those interested in Spanish culture, and those who just want to pass a specific examination in Spanish.

Listen & Learn do not generally recommend classes of more than 6-8 people, although Taster courses in Spanish can run with up to 12 people. Bookings must be made for all participants at the same time.

Derby
A city in the East Midlands of the UK with a population just shy of 230,000, Derby is the 18th largest settlement in England when measured by urban area. Derby and Derbyshire were centres of Britain's Industrial Revolution. Originally the site of Britain's first water-powered silk mill, Derby was an important focal point of the textile industry, with the 19th century seeing Derby become a centre of engineering, specifically railway engineering. Nowadays the city's biggest employers are Rolls-Royce plc and Toyota, and the city has earned the nickname of "Ghost capital of Britain", with over 1,000 paranormal sightings recorded in recent years.
