These Latin lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students who have a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Latin—required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population—students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Latin-culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Latin examination. These lessons in Latin are meant for those who feel that learning Latin would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefited have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even in our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Latin and e-mail Latin skills for communicating, as well as survival Latin if a short visit to the country is needed. The Latin lessons are also available for 2 or more people studying together (Two-to-One Latin Lessons or Small Group In-Company Latin Lessons). All participants must have the same level, the same business or general language needs and be able to study at the same time in the same location. The booking must be made for all participants at the same time. Listen & Learn does not recommend group classes of more than 6-8 people though In-Company Taster Latin Lessons can be run with up to 12 people. Enquire now about our Latin Courses.
Our qualified Latin language teachers can train you and your colleagues at your office or home at a time to suit you. Classes can be any day of the week (even weekends) in the morning, afternoon or evening. Those wishing to learn Latin in groups of two or more together (Two-to-One Latin Lessons or Small Group In-Company Latin Lessons) can sign up for our group classes. All students must be at nearly the same level of Latin proficiency, have the same needs from the language and be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn does not propose group sizes of more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Latin Lessons can occur with up to 12 people.
