While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Lingala—required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population—students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Lingala-culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Lingala examination. Face-to-Face 1-to-1 (Individual) Business Lingala
These lessons in Lingala are meant for those who feel that learning Lingala would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefited have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even in our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Lingala and e-mail Lingala skills for communicating, as well as survival Lingala if a short visit to the country is needed. Listen & Learn does not generally recommend classes with more than 6-8 people, though Taster lessons in Lingala can run with up to 12 people. Skype, Google Meet or Zoom Online 1-to-1 (Individual) General or Business Lingala
Our native-speaking qualified Lingala teachers can instruct you and your group at your work or at home at a time most convenient for you. Classes can take place on any day of the week—even weekends—morning, afternoon or evening. If meeting at your office or home is not suitable, you can take your lessons at the trainer's office. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn does not propose group sizes of more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Lingala Lessons can occur with up to 12 people.
