For those just starting out, it is integral to learn basic greetings and business etiquette. Reading and writing can be adopted once the simple precepts are out of the way. Lessons in Romany are also accessible for 2 or more studying in tandem (Two-to-One Romany Lessons or Small Group In-Company Romany Lessons).
