While all beginner level students will cover survival Slovak—needed for short visits to countries where English isn't widely spoken, or if you wish to 'go local'—those studying Slovak usually go in different directions at this point, depending on what they need. These lessons in Slovak are meant for those who feel that learning Slovak would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Listen & Learn does not generally recommend classes with more than 6-8 people, though Taster lessons in Slovak can run with up to 12 people. Classes can take place on any day of the week—even weekends—morning, afternoon or evening. If meeting at your office or home is not suitable, you can take your lessons at the trainer's office. Those wishing to learn Slovak in groups of two or more together (Two-to-One Slovak Lessons or Small Group In-Company Slovak Lessons) can sign up for our group classes. All students must be at nearly the same level of Slovak proficiency, have the same needs from the language and be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn does not propose group sizes of more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Slovak Lessons can occur with up to 12 people.
