These Taiwanese lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students who have a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Taiwanese—required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population—students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Taiwanese-culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Taiwanese examination. The people who would benefit the most from these Taiwanese tutorials are those who feel they need to learn Taiwanese to help them out in their business lives. For starters, learning salutations and business etiquette is essential. Once these have been practised, then reading and writing lessons can begin. Typical studiers have been those involved in international imports/exports, negotiations and acquisitions, multinational companies requiring another language and those working in any way with international governments and relevant administration. Even our simplest lesson for beginners will have students finishing the lessons with basic telephone and e-mail Taiwanese as well as survival Taiwanese should a visit to the country be necessary. If there are 2 or more of you with the same level of Taiwanese, the same goals sought for the language and be able to study at the same time and location, then you'll be happy to know that these Taiwanese lessons can also be made available with Two-to-One Taiwanese Lessons or Small Group In-Company Taiwanese Lessons. Listen & Learn does not generally recommend classes with more than 6-8 people, though Taster lessons in Taiwanese can run with up to 12 people. Our native speaker qualified Taiwanese language teachers can train you and your colleagues at your office or home at a time to suit you. Classes can be any day of the week (even weekends) in the morning, afternoon or evening. Those wishing to learn Taiwanese in groups of two or more together (Two-to-One Taiwanese Lessons or Small Group In-Company Taiwanese Lessons) can sign up for our group classes. All students must be at nearly the same level of Taiwanese proficiency, have the same needs from the language and be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn does not propose group sizes of more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Taiwanese Lessons can occur with up to 12 people.
