These Thai lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students who have a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Thai—required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population—students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Thai-culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Thai examination. These lessons in Thai are meant for those who feel that learning Thai would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefited have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even in our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Thai and e-mail Thai skills for communicating, as well as survival Thai if a short visit to the country is needed. The Thai lessons are also available for 2 or more people studying together (Two-to-One Thai Lessons or Small Group In-Company Thai Lessons). All participants must have the same level, the same business or general language needs and be able to study at the same time in the same location. The booking must be made for all participants at the same time. Listen & Learn does not recommend group classes of more than 6-8 people though In-Company Taster Thai Lessons can be run with up to 12 people. Enquire now about our Thai Courses.
Our native speaker qualified Thai language teachers can train you and your colleagues at your office or home at a time to suit you. Classes can be any day of the week (even weekends) in the morning, afternoon or evening. Two or more people can benefit studying Thai together as these Thai lessons are also offered to groups (Two-to-One Thai Lessons or Small Group In-Company Thai Lessons). Every student must have the same degree of knowledge of the language, the same business or language needs and the ability to study at the same time and place as everybody else.
