Now that I think of it, the most memorable experience I have ever had was when I went bungee jumping in New Zealand. Although it was a few years ago, I can still remember it as if it was yesterday.
I was studying medicine at college and I decided to go to New Zealand as part of my university course. We had to choose a location in which to work for three months in a hospital, mainly to gain more experience, however, I was also determined to have some fun!
I was living there for about two weeks before I noticed anything about bungee jumping and as I have always liked adventurous sports, I decided to have a go. After noticing the advertisement I thought to myself what it must feel like to drop from a point sixty metres high right to the ground. How would I feel? The idea was very exciting!
So the day came and the next thing I knew I was standing on the edge of the board looking down at the crowd below who had come to watch me. This made me feel even more nervous than I already was.
At this point there was no turning back so I took one step forward and fell through the air at an amazing rate. I was so glad I did it and I even got a video recording of my jump too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
