These Polish lessons are more general in nature and are targeted at students who have a whole range of different needs. While all beginners level students can expect to cover Survival Polish—required for short visits to a country where English may not be spoken and/or the intention is to make good contacts with the local population—students then generally progress in different directions depending on their needs. Typical students include those buying property overseas, spouses of overseas nationals, people about to set off on that long-awaited world trip, Polish-culture enthusiasts and those who are keen to pass a particular Polish examination. These lessons in Polish are meant for those who feel that learning Polish would make a change in their work. For starters, it is expedient to learn how to say hello/goodbye, as well as basic business protocol; once the basics have been mastered, reading and writing come to the fore. Students who have greatly benefited have been involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, jobseekers in multinational companies where another language is required and those working in the international academia and government circuits. Even in our most fundamental beginner's lesson, students can anticipate ending the lesson with basic telephone Polish and e-mail Polish skills for communicating, as well as survival Polish if a short visit to the country is needed. If there are 2 or more of you with the same level of Polish, the same goals sought for the language and be able to study at the same time and location, then you'll be happy to know that these Polish lessons can also be made available with Two-to-One Polish Lessons or Small Group In-Company Polish Lessons. Listen & Learn does not generally recommend classes with more than 6-8 people, though Taster lessons in Polish can run with up to 12 people. Our native-speaking qualified Polish teachers can instruct you and your group at your work or at home at a time most convenient for you. Classes can take place on any day of the week—even weekends—morning, afternoon or evening. If meeting at your office or home is not suitable, you can take your lessons at the trainer's office. Lessons in Polish are also accessible for two or more people studying in tandem (Two-to-One Polish Lessons or Small Group In-Company Polish Lessons). All those involved must have around the same experience of the language, similar needs of areas of proficiency and must be able to meet at the same time and place.
